The snowflake who refused to melt

The sun was setting over the mountains as the little snowflake made her way down, towards the Earth. It was bitterly cold outside, yet she was happy. Cold was her element, the way that a warm room seems cozy for you, or the endless ocean to the whale. Mmm – she stretched, pointing out all of her six spikes, so that the little tips on the end quivered in delight.
